Skin&Blister is hosting a free four-day beginner DJ workshop for FLINTA-identifying aspiring artists. The workshop, which takes place from August 29th to September 6th, has 12 spots and is hosted by EMA and Puzzy Wrangler at Tengu in Dublin.
Skin&Blister hosts their second beginner DJ workshop open to FLINTA-identifying artists looking to learn the craft of DJing. The team continue their goal to help, guide, nurture and promote those, to create a more accepting and inclusive Irish club community. The DJ course is the perfect introduction for FLINTA-identifying creatives who want to learn the foundations of DJing using club-standard CDJs, mixers, and sound systems.
The training will be restricted to 12 participants as it is essential for each attendee to be given adequate time on the equipment provided. If you are unable to secure a position this time, please keep in mind that Skin&Blister will be holding more workshops in the future.
The course will be led by the founder of label/party Woozy, booker for Dublin nightclub Yamamori Tengu, Rinse FM resident, and co-founder of the Skin&Blister collective, EMA. Her work ethic has inspired a foundational infrastructure for her and those in her orbit to thrive.
Puzzy Wrangler, a DJ double act dedicated to encouraging FLINTA, will be joining EMA as a guest teacher. Since 2022, they’ve hosted sold-out shows, collaborated with local collectives, and launched a monthly mix series to highlight emerging FLINTA DJs.
The course dates are Aug 29th, Sep 5th, 12th and 19th, from 7.00pm-9.30pm each night at Yamamori Tengu, 37 Strand Street Great, North City, Dublin 1.
