Subject has announced their new warehouse party series, System, at The Complex this New Year’s Eve. The 7-hour audio & visual event will feature an all-Irish lineup across two rooms, with music from Cailín, Řitual, Aero, Shannen Blessing, Giles Armstrong, Billy Spike IIland, Paul Chillage, and Fran Hartnett.
Subject has unveiled one of their most exciting new projects, bringing a fresh twist to the Dublin club scene with a warehouse-style party in the heart of the city. The event will feature an all-Irish lineup, alongside a new sound system and audiovisual setup at The Complex. The night will be split across two rooms: the Depot, dedicated to warehouse-style techno, and the Cooler Room, a relaxed space for ambient, bean bags, and unwinding.
The Depot will feature raised dance platforms, live visuals, and an L-Acoustics sound system, all curated to create an immersive dancefloor experience. The lineup matches the high-energy setup, with Subject resident and Ben Sims’ Symbolism-affiliated artist Cailín headlining B2B with Berlin-based Purgatory collective boss Řitual. Aero, fresh off his debut with Planet Rhythm, teams up with Shannen Blessing, who made waves with her Boiler Room debut at AVA Festival. Dublin legend Giles Armstrong joins the roster following a recent set closing for UK techno icon Surgeon, while Billy Spike IIland rounds out the bill after a standout 2024 with his label Syncopated Records.
Upstairs in the Cooler Room, Subject reintroduces a nostalgic nod to ’90s club culture with an ambient & chillout space—an element often missing from modern events. Curated by one of Dublin’s longest-serving ambassadors of ambient music, Paul Chillage, the room will also feature a special DJ/live ambient set from techno stalwart Fran Hartnett, accompanied by live visual mixing. The room is complete with beanbags and yoga mats for your comfort, as the space offers a welcome respite from the high-energy Depot downstairs.
SYSTEM:1 will run from 7pm – 2am across The Complex with two fully licensed bars, seated & heated areas and a smoking terrace.
