Irish-based platform Synthesize Her, dedicated to fostering a more diverse ecosystem in music production, is set to launch its most ambitious edition this Friday. The event will offer 16 hours of immersive learning and experimentation, featuring masterclasses in ideation, mixing, and live performance led by tutors and guest artists.
This weekend, Synthesize Her invites participants to dive into music production and hardware with a unique, hands-on learning experience. Facilitated by Dublin/London-based sound artist and engineer Viva Dean and Cork-based artist and musician Michelle Doyle, the event spans three days and offers six immersive workshops.
This three-day course, taking place from Friday 4th October to Sunday 6th October (10am – 3pm) at the Regional Cultural Centre (RCC), is specifically open to FLINTA (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans, Agender) individuals aged 18 and over. Beginners are encouraged to attend, with no prior experience required, offering an inclusive and supportive environment for all skill levels.
Synthesize Her welcomes guest facilitators Amanda Feery, Julie McLarnon, and Lila Tirando a Violeta to the workshop experience.
Due to limited spots, participants will be selected by the project facilitator to ensure fair representation across applicants. The event is supported by Creative Ireland, Donegal County Council, the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media, and Earagail Arts Festival.
