Dublin’s Tengu is preparing to launch Soundsystem Sundays, a two-part club night celebrating bass music and soundsystem culture.

The series, running from April 20th to May 4th, will be powered by Irish soundsystem pioneers Rub A Dub Hifi and will feature some of the most influential names in jungle, drum & bass, and dubstep.

The first date on April 20th kicks off with a massive lineup: Mantra & Double O from the legendary Rupture crew, playing together in Ireland for the first time. They’ll be joined by Rupture’s MC, Chickaboo, with local support from Executive Steve B2B Rob Rua and Angel Tabris B2B DJ EGG.

For the second instalment in May, the team go even bigger as the focus shifts to the foundations of UK bass as Mala, the Deep Medi boss and a key architect of the foundation of dubstep, takes control for a two-hour set alongside MC SGT Pokes. As a founding member of Digital Mystikz and co-creator of the iconic DMZ night, Mala’s influence on dubstep is immeasurable. Local support comes from Ambit, EMA & Governess, ensuring a night of deep, meditative low-end frequencies.

Following a standout Culture Night event with Rub A Dub Hifi last September, Tengu is doubling down on its commitment to authentic sound system experiences. You can purchase tickets for April here & May here.
