Tonight, The Art Shelter, a new art and music collective, makes its debut at Richmond Road Studios with the launch of ‘Daonnacht’, an event designed to reshape how we experience local talent. Founded by Feride Gormez, Svenja Michelle Behle, and Lana Zubovic, the collective aims to provide a vital platform for emerging voices in visual art and music, offering a fresh space for creative expression and community connection.
The Art Shelter makes its debut tonight, Friday, November 29th, at Richmond Road Studios, Phibsborough Tower, Floor 4, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. It will combine live music with an eclectic collection of ceramics, prints, and paintings, forming a hub for the city’s creative communities.
Musically, the night brings together two wide-ranging and diverse DJs: Mango Maguire and Kakule, both knowledgeable selctors of all things garage, dubstep, house, techno, electro, and the rest.
The exhibition features a diverse lineup of artists, including Carl Hickey, Taoiseach, Svenja Michelle Behle, Fatih Baltaci, and Patricia De Mor, whose works span a range of mediums and styles. Additional contributors like Grace Ryan, Boswald Muggler, and Rosie O’Mahony bring their contemporary approach to the showcase.
The exhibition will be open by appointment for a week after the opening night. To book, DM The Art Shelter on Instagram or email theartsheltercollective@gmail.com.
