One of the UK’s most decorated techno artists, Perc, is set to play an intimate showcase in Dublin’s Cellar on April 26th for Subject & Four Four as part of his album tour. Perc, known for his uncompromising approach to techno, will headline the Dublin venue with a no-holds-barred two-hour set, alongside up-and-coming selectors James Bennett and Finn Mcentee.

Perc embodies everything the underground UK techno scene stands for. His gritty, relentless, and punishing approach to DJing and producing has helped him become one of the most formidable techno artists of his time. After playing at some of Dublin’s most renowned venues, including District 8, The Twisted Pepper, and Index, the DJ, producer, and label boss returns for a one-time intimate presentation in Dublin’s Cellar.

Perc is a reference point in electronic dance music, having toured extensively, owned a label, and become one of the most acclaimed techno producers today. Perc (aka London-based Ali Wells) is regarded as one of the most forward-thinking figures in techno, fusing contemporary sounds with his broad knowledge of electronic music’s history to produce something fresh and distinctive. Perc is as uncompromising as he is distinctive, having released music on labels like CLR, Kompakt, Drumcode, Stroboscopic Artefacts, and Ovum, as well as his own world-renowned Perc Trax imprint.

James Bennett and Finn Mcentee, two of Ireland’s most promising newcomers, will join Perc. The pair’s knowledge of the golden period of techno leads them to combine modern techno cuts with funk-laced loops from the past, resulting in a vortex of swinging techno rhythm that is both unmistakably fresh yet vintage in its approach.
