Dublin has a new nightclub concept, Block, taking over the former Index venue and run by the same team behind Liberty Lane venue.

The focus will be on creating a more intimate feel on the dancefloor, alongside a strict no-phones policy for a stripped-back clubbing experience. At the heart of this vision is a strict no-phones policy, ensuring a fully immersive clubbing experience where the focus is purely on the music and the moment.

The announcement comes after Index announced that it will return to the city’s Northside starting next month at The Academy, which is located on Middle Abbey Street and will open on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, with a special opening show with MK.

The club stated via social media today, “Whether you’re going to a show at Index on Abbey Street or losing yourself on the dancefloor at Block. We aim to push the boundaries of what is possible in Dublin. Rest assured the music stays on.”
