UK Party Cue has announced it will no longer share set times before club events, aiming to get attendees engaged in the full club experience rather than just arriving for the headline DJ.
Instead, schedules will be posted around the venue on the night, encouraging fans to arrive early, discover new artists, and properly soak in club culture the way it’s intended to be experienced. “Come for the vibes — not just the headliner,” the team announced, reinforcing their commitment to creating a more well-rounded dancefloor culture.
Cue wrote via Instagram “This encourages what dance is all about, experiencing events to the fullest, discovering music, supporting the residents and enjoying the occasion rather than just arriving for the headliner.”
The announcement follows a growing trend among clubs and parties across the UK and Ireland, moving away from the headliner-driven and social media-fueled club culture that has dominated the scene for over a decade.
Manchester club Ambers is one of the latest venues to embrace this shift, opening with a no-lineup and no-phone policy. Speaking to Manchester Wire, they explained, “Every week the DJs will be unannounced, with artists playing under the radar and revealed post-event.” Hutch, aka James Hutchins, added, “At Ambers, we want the music, sound, and vibe to be the reason you come back. We aim to bring some of the best artists in the world to our club, to play at an affordable price point, with the focus on brilliant music and sound, every single week.”
