A new mini-documentary on the seminal Detroit techno collective Underground Resistance will be published on Friday. The documentary is made by Roland titled Somewhere in Detroit: Underground Resistance, Submerge, Techno and the Detroit Way.

Roland has revealed the newest instalment of its mini-documentary series, which depicts the narrative of Detroit’s famed Underground Resistance crew. The film includes interviews with Mike Banks, Waajeed, and others.

The Detroit Public Library will host the local premiere of Somewhere in Detroit today, Wednesday, February 28th, followed by a Q&A. It premieres globally this Friday, March 1st on YouTube.

The electronic instrument manufacturer has previously collaborated on short films with Carl Craig, Stones Throw Records, and Faithless’s Sister Bliss.
