Pawn Shop will host a charity club event tomorrow with music from Sam Greenwood, Rustal, Surka and more. The gig is free but donations towards The Wardog Foundation can be taken at the venue as well as tote bags being sold at the bar as they support civilians and animals fleeing the front lines.
The Wardog Foundation is a new non-profit CLG founded by Syrias Vibes and SCOOP co-founder Calvin James Sweeney. Its mission is to assist everyone affected by conflict.
Wardog and Calvin are currently in Ukraine and will remain for the foreseeable future, assisting civilians and animals fleeing the front lines. Working with local grassroots organisations and shelters, Wardog is committed to assisting everyone with evacuations, food, lodging, and basic necessities.
Calvin James’ work is focused on the arts, the power of music, and thinking outside the box in all aspects of their work. His project, SCOOP, has become one of Ireland’s most unique and innovative non-governmental organisations. Andy and Calvin Sweeney, Irish brothers, founded the SCOOP Foundation, which stands for ‘Supporting Children Out Of Poverty’, in 2009. SCOOP believes in empowering and educating the next generation, particularly young people at home and abroad who are suffering for no fault of their own.
