Clergy boss Cleric returns to Irish shores for the first time in over 4 years for an intimate showcase at Cellar with Research. Jorden Hodgetts better known as Cleric is cited as one of the most influential UK techno producers to arrive within the last decade, the Tresor & Berghain regular will provide a multi-deck masterclass alongside Dublin favourite Taint this Saturday.

Manchester native Cleric has carved out an illustrious career in techno since he emerged over a decade ago. The UK techno don has been frequently playing across the globe at some of the world’s most revered techno parties including Berghain, Awakenings, Fabric, Tresor, alongside many more high profile venues and festivals worldwide.

The UK producer’s creative output has been extremely prolific, with numerous releases on labels like as Arts, Soma, and Figure, but he currently focuses on his own imprint Clergy, which has hosted the likes of Dax J, James Ruskin, Kwartz, and Cleric himself. Cleric, known for his high-tempo grooves and strong kick drums, considers his music as a way to transfer energy to others.

The Clergy boss returns to Ireland for his first show since 2019, where he headlined Index on New Years Eve. His return see’s him play alongside Research co-owner and resident Taint, for one the years stand-out techno showcases. It’s extremely rare to see a techno titan such as Cleric in the intimate settings of Cellar, this will be sweat-soaked raving at it’s very finest.
