French techno powerhouse JKS arrives to Dublin to the Grand Social this Friday for a Vision and Thump Techno collaborative event. JKS is joined by fellow french heavy hitter Yå and Techno & Cans boss Sam Greenwood.
Vision and Thump are continuing their strong series of collaborative events as they team up together once again to bring over heavy hitter JKS. Running off the back of their previous bookings together who include Shlømo and Parfait. It’s clear the two collectives like their techno hard, fast and French.
JKS’s productions are characterised by groove, acid sonorities and powerful percussions patterns, representative of his musical past. He recently got the support of artists like Kobosil, SHDW & Obscure Shape, I Hate Models or Charles Fenckler, by being played in big europeans techno events. His energetic sets, with trance influences, relay a strong rave atmosphere.
YÅ from Paris is well-known for his consistent style of productions and his persevering support for the techno scene. Rooted to Genres like Gabber and Hardcore he began DJing in 2014. Keeping his style always developing YA pursues a recognisable creative aim. In 2017 he also joined the industrial techno collective “Rearguard” and released on several labels such as Eradys Records, Trouble and further more.
Sam Greenwood has had a busy summer this year. Playing a wide range of festival and club shows that include Life Festival, Otherside Festival, Electric Picnic and Fuinneamh Festival as well as standout shows with Paula Temple in Index, plus wild B2B ‘All Night Long parties with DJ Frequency, Aeron XTC, Aero and Snakebite 616 in Cellar.
