Clubbing TV have conducted a study, reviewing over 28 entire Ibiza 2025 lineups (sourced from official Instagram releases and Ibiza Spotlight listings), the results are striking. Only 214 of the 980 distinct artist bookings confirmed so far are by women or non-binary artists. The remaining 766 are men.
That’s 22% representation, which says much about the gender imbalance on the White Isle. A minor margin of error is acknowledged due to the manual nature of the research, but the overall image is unmistakable.
This statistic is a harrowing reflection of the wider scene. If Ibiza, one of the world’s most influential clubbing capitals, can’t lead by example, what does that say about club culture as a whole? While conversations around diversity in electronic music have grown louder in recent years, Ibiza remains stubbornly behind the curve.
