Max HeyraudOn July 19th, we team up with Research as we host our debut extended-format event, taking over block for a full 12 hours of techno from day into night.
The lineup features a heavyweight bill, including Self Reflektion boss Stranger, WSNWG affiliate Ignez, 2Face co-founder and local mainstay Dylan Fogarty, Vilchezz, plus two of Ireland’s most exciting emerging acts—Research label regular Bronwyn and Bastardo Electrico resident Mejmi.
“We see parties like this all the time across Europe and thought it was about time we had them here,” say the Research organisers. “If we can’t open later for now, we’ll open earlier.”
Longform club events remain a rarity in Ireland, largely due to the country’s restrictive licensing laws. In contrast, cities like Berlin, Amsterdam, London, and Paris regularly host extended parties that not only showcase international talent but also offer crucial platforms for local artists. They give dancers more space to breathe and experience club culture in a deeper, more all-encompassing way. We are aiming to bring that same spirit to Dublin.
