A new Dublin club night is putting emerging Irish electronic artists and suicide prevention at the centre of its agenda.
The Night Shift, a collaboration between Pulse Peak and After Hours, will take place across two rooms at The Sound House this Thursday, September 17, with the event registered in aid of Pieta.
Tickets have been priced at €7, with €2 from every ticket guaranteed to go directly to the charity. Organisers say that once the basic costs of staging the event have been covered, all remaining ticket revenue will also be donated to Pieta, supporting its suicide and self-harm prevention services.
“The Night Shift is ultimately about community, accessibility and giving emerging artists a meaningful platform, while directing some of that energy towards Pieta and suicide prevention.”
The lineup brings together artists at different stages of Ireland’s electronic music scene, including ESKAY and Bláthnaid, who both recently appeared at Electric Picnic, with Bláthnaid also behind the Dúil series at Wigwam. Lougho also joins the lineup, whose recent release landed via Kontor Records / GATE1. Cälpol, Lougho, SMS and Matty also feature. Alongside the announced lineup, organisers are also creating an opportunity for an emerging artist, with one DJ set to win a main Room slot at The Sound House alongside the full lineup. The competition remains open until Sunday, September 13.
