Two of electronic music’s most forward thinking producers HAAI and Jon Hopkins collaborated for HAAI’s much anticipated debut album, ‘Baby, We’re Ascending’. The video to the title track of the album drifts through various aspects of nature, through a variegated lens of conciseness, rhythm and movement.

Just a few days ago Australian born DJ and producer HAAI released her debut album to the world, pulling an assortment of soundscapes, atmospheres, attitudes and rhythms from behind the veil of the curtain that is her inaugural LP, ‘Baby, We’re Ascending’.

HAAI’s album is an exploratory trip through her life to date, taking inspiration from life on either side of the hemisphere. The album spans techno, house, electronica, drum and bass, electro and more. Touching on exultant moments of euphoria, right down to downbeat inward journeys.

HAAI collaborated with a number of high profile and revered musicians on this album including Alexis Taylor, Moxie, Obi Franky and Jon Hopkins. Jon’s work has been some of the most influential in electronic music to date, with albums such as ‘Immunity & Singularity’ being hugely seminal to this day.

The video for the title track, ‘Baby, We’re Ascending’ is an exquisite visual representation of the track’s sonics. The video perfectly mimics the frantic and somewhat liberating atmosphere in the track, moving through various fragments of nature through the passage of dance, movement and rhythm.
