This January, West Clare will host A Sliver of Light 2026, a three-day midwinter festival hosting cutting-edge live music, DJ sets, and forward-facing electronic experiences.

From Friday 23 to Sunday 25 January, Hotel Doolin becomes a haven for contemporary sound explorers, offering a rare chance to experience international and Irish talent against the backdrop of the Atlantic coast.

Building on the success of its 2025 edition, the festival brings together a diverse roster of artists pushing electronic and experimental boundaries. Highlights include German electronic duo Session Victim (Live), Berlin DJ Nick Höppner, and Icelandic singer JFDR, alongside emerging Irish acts Citrus Fresh, Goldbug, Oceanna, Smithereens, and Vatican Jail.

Local heroes P Disconaut, Frankie Downbeat, and Peter Curtin will keep dancefloors alive with DJ sets, while RTÉ Lyric FM broadcasts a special edition of Ambient Orbit live from the festival, layering ambient textures across the weekend.

Beyond music, the festival offers a curated selection of talks and experiences designed to engage mind and body while allowing festival-goers to pause and take in the dramatic coastline.

Tickets for the weekend are available from €155, with day passes ranging from €35–€75 available here. Accommodation is limited, with Hotel Doolin already fully booked, though options include Fiddle & Bow and local Airbnb rentals. For those travelling by public transport, Ennis and Galway are the nearest train hubs, with bus connections via Route 350.
