Women of Colour Belfast will host a two-part series of DJ workshops this November, aimed at empowering women and underrepresented creatives behind the decks.
The first session takes place on 20th November, led by Sophie and Matcha, two trailblazing DJs shaping Northern Ireland’s electronic music scene. Both artists have become influential figures in creating more inclusive dancefloors across the region.
The second session will be held in collaboration with Foxgluv, a collective founded by JWY that champions underrepresented talent in the South of Ireland.
Each workshop will run for two hours, offering participants a hands-on introduction to mixing and performance techniques. The sessions will be followed by a mini party, featuring sets from the workshop hosts.
Women of Colour Belfast continues to provide essential spaces for connection, creativity, and representation within Ireland’s dance community.
