Following recent commentary over the weekend and yesterday, Yamamori has issued a strong rebuttal to remarks made by Trinity Hospitality Ltd as reported in The Journal.ie on 13 February 2026.

Yamamori stated that it “utterly rejects” the comments attributed to Trinity Hospitality. According to the company, the previous operators of the Central Hotel used an area above Yamamori’s premises as a function room. The current owners of the hotel converted this space into bedrooms, despite Yamamori raising concerns, which were “known to them.”

During the construction phase, Yamamori commissioned an expert report in 2023 to measure sound levels. The report was provided to the hotel to assist in installing appropriate sound attenuation measures. Yamamori emphasised that recorded sound levels were significantly lower than those of typical late-night venues. Additionally, a sound limiter was installed on 17 December 2025 to ensure levels would not be exceeded.

Yamamori claims that when Trinity Hospitality raised the matter in late November 2025, the company immediately agreed to meet and requested detailed information on the sound attenuation measures installed. While Trinity Hospitality initially agreed to provide this information, Yamamori says it only received it on 17 February 2026. Yamamori’s experts maintain that the information was essential to progressing discussions and that rather than sharing it in a timely manner, Trinity Hospitality opted to seek an injunction.

Yamamori further disputed Trinity Hospitality’s assertions that it is not seeking to curtail cultural or nightlife activity and that it wishes to see Yamamori thrive. “Its actions are inconsistent with these sentiments,” the company said. Yamamori also rejected claims that it had acted unreasonably, stating that the agreed sound testing on 14–15 February 2026 was of limited use without the previously requested technical information. The company added that it is currently analysing the newly received data.
