All roads lead to Index on the 13th of October as Index join forces with Research & Subject for one of the biggest techno nights Dublin has seen within the last 5 years. The team host Dax J B2B Chlär & Stef Mendesidis [Live] & Ayolxi at the new Index for a show-stopping night of high octane techno.
There are few artists carving out a legacy for themselves like Dax J is right now. The British DJ and producer from London has gone from pirate radio to magazine covers; from the backroom parties to headlining raves at every major techno institution the world over, all whilst staying true to the underground with an individual style all of his own. His technical skill, pure selection as a DJ and attention to high-end sound production has placed him at the forefront of a global scene, and established him as a singular presence within modern dance music.
Chlär holds this perpetual need to learn and improve, convinced of the fundamental relationships humans share with the groove. His productions and performances are attempts to awaken the tribal and primitive instinct that sleeps in each of us. His sets are direct crowd-galvanizers with technical and forward-thinking blends of grooves featuring loops of his own production. Always improvising through relentless 3-4 decks actions, his context sensitive approach to performances is fuelled by an highly effective audience reading which will guarantee an electrifying moment, no matter the set time and duration.
Stef Mendesidis uses a technique of one-take recording, staying loyal to the principle of live techno creation. He possesses a true synesthetic approach transforming his inner feelings, images and ideas into sound patterns. Now playing live the Ukrainian producer and live act is translating his dexterous work in the studio into dancefloor carnage. With several releases on Ben Klock’s Klockworks as well as recently releasing the inaugural EP on Vault Sessions, he’s proved himself to be one of the most revered techno acts on the planet.
Ayolxi has turned many heads since entering the scene in 2021, forging her way into national recognition with her iconic hypnotic sounds. Supporting names such as Slin, Julian Muller, 999999999’s, Shlomo, Wallis, Manni Dee and joining festivals such as Life and Fuinneamh. As well as various collectives and brands throughout Ireland, her sound and energy continue to evolve.
