Last week Yurt City announced their return with a dreamy announcement for this year’s edition of the festival, with 30 acts added to the bill so far ranging from local to international talent set to take place on the 20th and 21st of August this year. Tyrresltown House (Yurt Manor) in Dublin 15 has also been named as the new location for this year’s iteration of the festival. This will be extraordinary.

Words: Nathan Clare

Judging from experience, if this year’s iteration of Yurt City is similar to the one that took place in the summer of 2019, this will be one of the most eventful weekends of the summer by far. It was exceptional. The festival was magic, it possessed such a wonderful yet friendly feel that is difficult to come by in events these days.

I have a sense that this year could imitate that with a tremendous line-up featuring acts like Adult Store, Barry Can’t Swim, Bella Festa, Ben Hemsley, Boots & Kats, Cabal, Chantel Kavanagh, Chaos In The CBD, Disfreq, DJ Boring, DJ Seinfeld, Easy Peelers, Efa O’Neill, Ejeca, Folamour, Hammer B2B Dart, Hykken, Kaycee, La La, Mark Blair, Mella Dee, Midweek, Moktar, Obskür, Omni, Sarah Mooney, Shampain, Shona Brophy and Sonia.

Those who held tickets for previous editions of Yurt City that were cancelled remain valid. A shuttle bus will also run from Dublin City Centre during the weekend the festival is due to commence.
